The spacious children’s paddling area with a water temperature of about 32 °C makes it easier for the little ones to discover the fun of swimming and bathing.
On warm-water days - all day every Friday and Saturday - the water temperature in the pool is 29 to 30° C instead of the usual 26 to 27° C.

A project group of Stadtwerke Tübingen developed an idea into a prototype that visitors can try out in Hallenbad Nord. It addressed the question of whether and how people deal with the issue of saving energy. Do people care about their personal energy consumption? Are visitors aware of how much water and energy they consume during their visit? This is where the new Energy Experience Shower comes in. It is designed to give an impression of the personal water and energy consumption while taking a shower in a playful way – raising awareness of energy consumption. How does the selected water temperature affect energy consumption? Does a short break make a difference – for example, while soaping up? And, by comparison, how long can an oven be operated with the energy needed for a five-minute shower? The Energy Experience Shower provides an answer to these questions and delivers reference values through live data. There is one prototype each in the men’s and women’s shower. We look forward to receiving our visitors’ feedback.
